I’m getting the Pre upon release or shortly thereafter. Sprint has already seen fit to give me online pricing on the phone — $200 — despite being just over one year into my latest contract renewal, so I guess that’s not bad.

Every now and again, I read a post here on SU from someone who says that they were successfully switched over from an existing plan to a SERO (now EPRP) plan; it’s my understanding that there is a referral plan that will allow usage of the Pre.

So, all that said — is this something that I might be able to do? Or, better yet: considering that I have an existing 15% discount through my employer, is it something worth trying?

So I called Retentions this morning and got nowhere. Then I tried emailing, and was given some decent discounts. I would like to know what else should I ask for, or if I should just accept the discounts as is. Keep in mind that I have been out of contract for quite a while, and am on a month to month plan.

Here is my current plan: 1) Sprint Fair & Flexible Plan - 400 minutes, 7 pm nights and weekends for $39.99/month, with $5/month 300 text messages add-on (Roughly $54/month total after taxes.

Here are the discounts offered: 1)$100 Loyalty Credit towards a new phone
2) Sprint Data Pack for $8/month instead of $15/month

What else should I ask for? I would like unlimited or higher texts and free internet if possible. I’m looking at the Palm Treo Pro phone, since I can’t get the Palm Pre due to my plan.

With the advice of members of this forum, i ported my sprint number to tmobile prepaid..
How long do i have to wait before i can port it back to sprint?

Also, what information do i need in order to port from prepaid to sprint?

when i ported from sprint to tmobile, they needed account pin’s and stuff.. can anyone tell me what sprint will need?

Quick question. My wife and I both have Sprint 2 Home and Sprint 2 Office free on our lines. Can my wife’s Sprint number be setup as her Sprint 2 Office number so her calls to VoiceMail (which my wife uses a lot - her Sprint phone is her business phone) will not be charged anytime minutes?

I’m trying to get the $30 Pro Pack Data discounted and was wondering if anyone know how to do it? I have vision and text, but Sprint is saying that I need to update my phone and don’t really want to pay the $30. Thanks for the help

I am completely frustrated. I just came back from the Sprint store empty handed!!! My husband has equip. protection on his phone since he is rough with them. Well they ordered him a brand new handset since his keyboard on his pearl was unfixable. Since we were in the store and we’re up for upgrade, he thought we would move to his pearl to my number because I’ve been dreaming of owning a pearl since I got my rumor.
I had even previously called a service rep to check on what kind of a price I could get. She assured me that I could upgrade my phone to a pearl and pay the price I was looking at online which is the $79.00 with a new 2yr contract. We pack ourselves into the car and head on over the sprint store for the cust serv rep to tell us our phones have to stay as is or pay $500 dollars minus the $75 my device qualified for.
This is NOT the information the rep told me on the phone two weeks ago. What can I do?? This is not the first time sprint reps in store and over the phone have given me conflicting information or screwed up my plan, yet we are still customers! I think that should count for something….?
I’ve learned to quadruple check what each person I deal with tells and I’ve still gotten burned–in February I went to Mexico and they put me on the wrong international calling plan which cost an extra $130 to my plan. Thank god that was documented because they were able to fix it. I don’t know that anyone documented anything about upgrade questions. ::crossing my fingers::

I use 11 trick to check my voicemail, etc so I do not waste anytime minutes. 11-calls still go through directly to that person’s voicemail, but starting several days ago, I began getting charged anytime minutes for 11-PCS Number calls. Looking in the call log on-line, I see that these calls are classified as VoiceMail. Before they showed just a call to that number. See attached call log. Whoever is using the 11-trick, can you check your usage and post the results.

Here’s my current situation

SERO500 #1 - This is my account. My contract ended in March ‘09 and I am going month to month.
SERO500 #2 - My father’s account. His contract is up in December ‘09

Would it be possible for Sprint to switch us both to the $129.99 Everything Data Family? The account would have to be in my father’s name since we want to utilize his 25% corporate discount.

We want to switch because I want the Palm Pre and he wants the Instinct. Should I go to a corporate store and see what they can do for me, or would retentions give me a better deal (e.g. service credits, loyalty discounts on-top of corporate discount) ?

Also my brother is interested in joining Sprint, bringing the line total to 3 and bill cost to $149.99. Would the 25% discount apply to the total $149.99 bill or only the first 2 lines?

Right now I have an average plan, but with a dandy feature: stacked discounts. 15% bonus from Retentions a while back, plus a 15% corp. discount through my job. As far as I know, and I have been told by a few customer service reps, stacking such discounts should be impossible now, so I should just keep my head down and be quiet.

I want to get a Pre. Since that will involve all sorts of plan manipulations, is it terribly likely that they will do away with my stacked discounts?

(Another wrinkle is that I no longer work for that employer, but how would Sprint know that?)
