Phone Upgrade for Family550(SM) Talk Plan

I want to upgrade my phone but sprint is telling me that I have to change my plan to get a newer blackberry like the curve 85xx. They are telling me that the Blackberry Tour (which they no longer carry) is the newest blackberry I can get. Is there any way around this?, or any alternative plans similar to this one that I can get?

EPRP + google voice

What have you all found to be the best/cheapest way to use google voice with the EPRP plan? The way I work it out in my head, I can’t find a way to get around using my bucket of monthly minutes for my calls.

Is there anything new that I could change my plan to? I currently have 3 phone lines on a 550 shared plan for $59.99 - 23% discount - $20 a month. I would love something with more minutes. My main line has a Tour the other 2 have old crappy phones and aren’t used much. Would love to cancel the 3rd line if possible.

I need some advice from you guys. I’ve been out of contract since April 2009, but want a new phone that is reliable and full-featured. I currently have a Sanyo M1 that’s gotten pretty beat up over the years and an LG Rumor Touch on my other SERO 500 line.

Here’s my current plan:
Sprint Free & Clear 1000 Min - $40
Unlimited Night & Weekends Starting at 8 PM
Free Sprint to Sprint
Free Nationwide Roaming
Free Unlimited Texting
Free Basic Unlimited Internet Plan
Sprint Premier Package [Unlimited GPS, etc.] - $10

Grand Total: $50 - 25% Employee Discount = $37.50 + taxes

I recently upgraded the phone on my SERO 500 line to an LG Rumor Touch. I’m paying only $22.50 on that line after the discount, so I kind of want to remain under the radar if possible. I also have a Samsung Airave that was given free and they also waived monthly service charge on it.

My question is… what is the best phone that I can get that’s compatible with the Free & Clear 1000 plan?

Is there an Everything Data plan that could even come close to matching that price per month? Has anyone gotten an Everything Data plan that’s similarly priced to my F&C 1000 from Retentions lately?

Help me understand tethering

We’ve got an unlimited messaging family plan, with an unlimited data add-on, on my LG Lotus. I followed the forum instructions to tether my lotus, as a modem for my PC, which worked great, so soon I will try on my laptop, where it matters. The instructions include changing a NAI setting (?) to "no", something to do with making sure the network doesn’t recognize my phone? However I don’t understand that, as there are warnings about only tethering if you have an unlimited data plan, to avoid high data charges. Therefore, Sprint must know whose account is being used. What does NAI = NO do?

Hey all so I have a few questions about my plan. I see on here all the time, people getting comp’d stuff and getting huge discounts so I want to see something and you tell me how likely or possible it is for me to achieve something like this…

1st off my plan consists of … My Sister ( Primary ) Her Fiance, me and my other lil sister.

We have the unlimited everything and we pay about $160 or something in that range for all of us.

So Our contract is up next year 4 / 07 / 11. But were all probably use our upgrades in December and sign a new two year contract. So me and my sisters fiance are probably gonna get the Evo 4g’s. I’m wondering if its unreasonable to try and speak with a representative and get any one or more of these…

% Off ? ( we have been with sprint for 10 years and are premier customers )
Free Insurance on everyone’s new phone?
Them to waive the $10 monthly fee for the Evo?

Anything like that? Cause we don’t have a single discount on our entire line. We pay the price they gave to us and it seems like this is more of a dealership rather than a retail store, so anyway please get back to me, I’d really appreciate it!

Family Plan and Evo Question

Hello all, I’m pretty sure I already know the answer to this but I would like to ask anyways…

Okay, well I pay for 2 lines on my sprint account (family plan 59.99$ a month), I’m picking up my HTC evo either this week or the following and I’ve been informed I need to upgrade to "everything data family plan" which is $129.99 /mo + 10$ /mo 4g charge.

Heres my problem this is what I pay now:

Line 1: Has zero use for data, texting etc, only uses around 100 minutes a month and doesn’t use the old flip phone for anything else.

Line 2 (my line): I have +15$ datapack for emails and IM’s and +20$ unlimited texting.

Which makes my bill come out to about….

$59.99 + $20.00 + $15.00 = 95$ + whatever taxes is around $105ish.

So if I upgrade to an EVO I’ll have to tack on $44.00 extra a month (includes 4g) just to use it? I basically need to know if theres any sort of loop hole regarding data plans considering if I keep this person on my account will I just end up losing money every month because line 1 will never use a byte of data or even use 1 text message?

I’m sorry if this is confusing, thanks for your help.

Touch Pro on Power Pack Plan?

I currently have the Power Pack Family 1000 plan. I need to upgrade phones but don’t want to switch to an Everything Data plan. Does anyone know if the Touch Pro or Touch Pro2 will work with my current plan? I spoke with retentions and she told me to check the Sprint website. The website will let me purchase, however, I’m afraid it won’t work once I try to activate it.
